How My Love For Drawing Determined My Path
Since I was young, I’ve loved drawing. This led to joining competitions, studying Civil Engineering, and drawing calligraphy. At first, I was obsessed with Indian calligraphy. Then, I discovered Japanese calligraphy—the beautiful pictographs, stories encased in the characters I traced. This, with my experience in judo, gave me a deep appreciation of Japanese culture. It wasn’t just a beautiful alphabet; it was a reflection of how smoothly, elegantly, and purposefully one moved through life. I imagined their work culture to be an extension of that, where I can strive for professional excellence.

Encountering Japan at My University in India

When Japanese companies visited my school to hire students, it felt like a sign. Many of us got excited about the prospect of working in Japan. All of my friends and I applied, seizing the opportunity. A lot of them got job offers, but sadly, I unfortunately did not. I was crushed.
Later, when my friends eventually joined the Japanese companies after college, my feed was flooded with their positive experiences. Instead of feeling bitter about it, though, I looked at their stories as a source of inspiration to try again. Their real-life experience revitalized my determination.
The First Step to My Dream Was Learning Japanese in Just Five Months
I quickly realized that to successfully secure an offer, I needed to dedicate myself to improving my Japanese language skills. Thankfully, that’s when I found FAST OFFER International on Instagram. Seeing their success stories compelled me to enroll, convinced I could get the same results. Combined with thorough self-study and the AtoJ Hirameki curriculum, totaling eight hours a day, I went from zero to conversational Japanese in just five months.
Studying Japanese for 8 Hours a Day for 5 Months Paid Off at the Job Interviews

Of the companies that interviewed me, I reached the final round for three of them. I was able to do well because learning Japanese paid off. I was able to talk about the internship experience that showed me the importance of teamwork and safety. I got to properly explain as well how safety also played in with my final year project, designing a self-sufficient and stable “floating house” perfect for flood -prone areas. These experiences ultimately led me to become a civil engineer at a company that could fully appreciate that.
All the hours FAST OFFER International poured into me was instrumental in my journey. They provided Japanese classes and gave me invaluable advice when I was selected for the interviews. They showed me how the smallest details matter. It really did! As those details helped me match with the right company.

When I found out I got the offer, I was overjoyed. I had faced rejection once before, which was deeply disappointing, but overcoming that setback with FAST OFFER’s support made me incredibly proud. The hurdles made this win even sweeter. I immediately shared the fantastic news with my family, who were thrilled, and then messaged my teacher and friends. It was a truly amazing moment.
Plans for the Next Chapter
As I step into my new life in Japan, proudly as the first civil engineer in my family, I want to continue falling in love with Japanese culture. I want to learn more Japanese style calligraphy as I master even deeper Japanese. Hopefully, one day I will get JLPT N1 certified. Then, maybe, I could also put my Japanese to use hanging out with friends in Japan and traveling to Nara, Hokkaido, or Osaka.
My Keys to Success

My key to success is consistency. When I decided to learn Japanese, I made it my daily focus. This unwavering dedication allowed me to secure a job offer from a Japanese company after only five months of study. Having access to an intensive class at AtoJ Hirameki also helped me speed up the process as I had a clear expert guide during my journey.
Another crucial piece of advice is to go beyond classroom learning. While I attended classes for four hours a day, I knew I needed to progress faster, so I dedicated an additional four hours to independent study, bringing my total to eight hours a day.
I also actively practiced speaking with my classmates to sharpen my communication skills. More than other aspects of the Japanese langauge, conversational Japanese is what matters most at the interviews.
Letting others inspire me was also key to my journey. I didn’t stay disappointed, crushed, or bitter. Instead, I looked at my peers, and the countless stories at FAST OFFER International and saw that if they could do it, I could do it, too.
Don’t give up!
Finally, my message to others is simple: never give up and keep pushing forward. If you want to start learning Japanese and work in Japan, FAST OFFER is an excellent place for beginners. They provide comprehensive support until you secure a job offer, making it a fantastic opportunity for anyone with this goal.
