Participation Opportunity & Online Application Process:

As a student of Japanese major, I chose to study in the UK after my bachelor’s degree. However, in the face of the severe employment situation under the epidemic, I decided to submit my resume and seek employment opportunities in Japan after seeing information about the FAST OFFER International (formerly Study Go Work JAPAN) program on social media platforms.

In October 2020, I made an online application on the FAST OFFER International (formerly Study Go Work JAPAN) website, and shortly thereafter I received contact from the staff and had an initial interview via Skype. After the interview, I submitted more detailed information as prompted by the staff, including some personal experience, reasons for seeking employment in Japan, a description of my graduation project, etc., and uploaded a 1-minute video of my Japanese self-introduction, after which I was waiting for the interview notification.

Interview Process:

Due to the epidemic, all interviews were conducted online. from March to July 2021, I received notifications from three companies and finally harvested an offer from a Japanese petroleum company.

Before the interview, I registered on the company’s recruitment website, completed the online test, submitted my ES and resume, and attended the company’s online briefing within one week according to the notification from FAST OFFER Int’l staff. Although my undergraduate major is Japanese, I was a little unsure when I filled out my ES and resume because I had no experience in job hunting in Japan.

The FAST OFFER Int’l personal page provides a detailed Job Description, including some questions that may arise during the interview, which is very helpful in preparing for the interview. In addition, there will be a mentor to interview guidance and mock interviews for candidates, which will allow me to find out the problems in the interview, in addition, any questions about the interview can also contact the mentor by email.

The next step is the formal interview. The interview of ENEOS is divided into three rounds, which are conducted for three consecutive days. I interviewed for a functional position, and the interviewer was very interested in the candidate’s understanding of the industry and the company as well as communication skills, and there was feedback on the interview performance at the end of each interview. After the first interview, the staff feedback said that the interviewer felt that my understanding of the industry and the company was not deep enough. My mentor Cai-san sent me many industry research articles based on the feedback and even helped me confirm my revised motivation for my ambition after 11 pm. It was because of the dedicated help from FAST OFFER Int’l staff that I was able to get the offer to work in Japan.

FINAL YEAR PROJECT

Indian majoring in computer science. The graduation project is the development of EC site using MERN (MongoDB, Express, ReactJS, NodeJS) stack, Redux and AWS. Created all by himself from the front to the back, and the degree of completion is high (with Github). After graduating from the University of Delhi, he is aiming to get a job in Japan, but due to the influence of Corona, he is currently working as a contract employee at an Indonesian company as a full stack engineer. A bright expression and sufficient Japanese ability. Since he has experience, he is expected to play an active role in Japanese companies.
