I have been admiring Japan since my secondary school life. It’s always a dream to go to Japan! Well, I started to learn Japanese language since my second year in university life. It was an enjoyment to learn Japanese language! One day, I came across this FAST OFFER International Program (formerly Study Go Work JAPAN Program) through my university sharing corner. This program was organized by ASIA to JAPAN which helps university students to secure a job in Japan. Without any doubt, I sent in my resume and applied for it.
Gratefully, I have passed the application screening process and called for a Skype interview! I was thrilled and excited at that moment since it’s gonna be the first time having an interview session with Japanese people! My Skype interviewer, 三瓶社長, is a very nice person and he encouraged me to speak Japanese instead of English throughout the interview session despite my low proficiency in Japanese. The Skype interview was mainly focusing on my conversation skills, field of research studies and the reasons why I wish to work in Japan.
Surprisingly, I have passed the Skype interview and got selected for 6 interview sessions from companies in Japan! After that, a mentor was assigned to me in guiding me to handle the interview questions that often asked by the Japan companies. My mentor, 浩司さん is a very kind and friendly person. He always gives me courage and mental support in preparing for the interviews. Furthermore, he helps me in polishing my interview skills by having mock interviews. I have gained tremendous experiences throughout the mentor interview sessions with 浩司さん.
At last, I received an invitation e-mail to join the interview sessions in Japan! I was very happy and excited since it’s my first time travelling to Japan! In June 2019, I went to Tokyo, Japan for the interviews. Upon reaching Japan, I was welcomed by the staffs from ASIA to JAPAN. Worth to mention, they are extremely nice, friendly and helpful persons. They managed our flight tickets, accommodation and take care of us very well in Japan. I wish to take a chance here to express my gratitude towards all the staffs from ASIA to JAPAN. After going through all the interviews, I was selected by Morita, and I felt very happy and grateful! The next day, I was able to experience the bullet train to Nagoya for the company visit.
This company visit was very meaningful to me as it exposed me in the working environment, system, and products of the company. I will be joining the company soon and I’m really looking forward to it! Throughout this FAST OFFER Int’l program, I have gained a lot of awesome experiences which couldn’t be measured any further. Besides securing a job in Japan, I also got a chance to visit Japan and make some friends from other countries. It was indeed an amazing experience and unforgettable memories to recall. Thank you to ASIA to JAPAN for organizing such a wonderful program and I sincerely hope that this FAST OFFER Int’l program will continue forever. Thank you very much!
