COMPANY:

world's leading manufacturer and seller of electrical and electronic products

An Indian student majoring in aeronautical engineering. Has knowledge of mechanical design and control. In his graduation research, "Drone that can be controlled by gestures", he worked on developing a drone that can be operated without being controlled by the pilot. The roles in the four-person team are design, analysis of previous research, and application to research. His father who runs a company once worked for a Japanese company in Kuwait. He often heard that his experience at that time was useful, and because Japanese products were highly evaluated, he decided to work in Japan.

What the company thought:High Japanese language skills, willingness to take on challenges despite lack of experience in Japan. The combination of the expertise required by the recruiting department and his understanding of the job led to the job offer.

MESSAGE

I have been fascinated by Cars, Aeroplanes, and Technology since I was a child, and I’ve developed a keen interest in the same over the years. And Japan is one of the Pioneers in all of the above areas, as Japanese products are highly valued throughout India and around the world. I have had an ultimate experience with such Japanese products and the emphasis on Quality, Reliability, and Longevity is what moved me. I’ve always thought that if the User Experience of these products is this great, imagine what working in Japan would mean to me, and how it would be a “dream come true” opportunity for me. Moreover, the fundamental driving force for Japan to be an engineering pioneer is the people behind it. My dad had the chance of working in a Japanese company for a short period of time, and as he always mentioned, the corporate and interpersonal skills he developed while working there were one of the main reasons for his success as an entrepreneur, and he is a testament to it.

Fortunately, I had the opportunity to learn Japanese as part of my curriculum during my Final semester, which boosted my prospects of exploring Japan. The language learning part was fun as I was surrounded by like-minded and supportive friends which led me to clear N3 in February 2021. The COVID-19 pandemic made us lose hopes of landing a job in Japan but we didn’t give up on learning Japanese. Instead, we took it as a challenge and started preparing for N2 and managed to clear that too. I was grateful to come across FAST OFFER International (formerly Study Go Work JAPAN) and updated my profile. One of my friends managed to get selected by a leading Mechanical Engineering company, which gave me a renewed hope of starting my career in Japan. Then it was my turn for the interview, which I was eagerly looking forward to. The overall process went seamlessly from the start. The extensive mentoring sessions prepared me to face the interviews confidently. Words fall short to express how grateful I am for the mentoring and guidance I received from my mentor. I cleared my interviews and landed a job in one of the prominent companies in the world. I am extremely appreciative of FAST OFFER International for making this possible. This is where I gained a firsthand experience of how a Japanese company operates, and I am eager to start working in Japan, which will eventually lead me to my Ikigai.

FINAL YEAR PROJECT
