Why I got interested in working in Japan

I have always loved Japanese culture, including anime, and often watched popular anime such as “Kimetsu no Yaiba” (Demon Slayer). There were two main reasons why my interest in Japan led me to find a job in Japan. First, I attended a Japanese company information session held at my university. Second, a friend of mine was working in Japan. I have friends in Tokyo and Osaka who have worked in Japan, and I had heard stories about working in Japan before, which also had a strong influence on me.

My Japanese Learning Journey

I started learning Japanese because I was interested in working in Japan. After graduating from university, I enrolled in a Japanese language school in Myanmar and began studying Japanese. Currently, I am also taking Japanese classes at FAST OFFER International, and I continue to make efforts to improve my Japanese language skills. It has been about two years since I started learning Japanese, but I am still struggling with Kanji and conversation. However, I am gradually getting better and am able to have conversations in Japanese. I still have about half a year to go before I actually join the company, so I am planning to continue studying to improve my Japanese.

Job Hunting for Japanese Companies and FAST OFFER International

I learned about FAST OFFER International from a teacher at the Japanese language school that I was attending at the time in Myanmar. The person in charge of ASIA to JAPAN was very kind and helped me in many situations. The actual interview was held online.

I practiced many times beforehand with a FAST OFFER International mentor. I received a lot of advice and improved a lot. I was very nervous during the actual interview, but I managed to get through it.

Life in Japan

To be honest, I am very anxious about living in Japan. I have never been to Japan before, and Japanese culture is very different from my home country. The climate is also completely different, so I am worried about whether I will be able to get used to the cold winter in Japan. I worry a lot about whether I will be able to build good relationships with people around me and whether I will be able to communicate well. On the other hand, there are many things I am looking forward to. The thing I am looking forward to the most is going to Tokyo Disneyland. I am also looking forward to traveling to various places such as Osaka and Kyoto.
